{"id":4645,"date":"2024-05-08T18:08:44","date_gmt":"2024-05-08T16:08:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/isic.hu\/?p=4645"},"modified":"2024-05-09T14:04:11","modified_gmt":"2024-05-09T12:04:11","slug":"unicum-haz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/isic.hu\/en\/unicum-haz\/","title":{"rendered":"House of Unicum"},"content":{"rendered":"The visit to the House of Unicum starts with a 20 minute viewing of a film about the Company and the Zwack family in Hungarian, English, German or Italian.<\/p>\n<p>In the Museum itself, the history of Hungary and that of the Zwack family go hand in hand, from the earliest years to the halcyon days of the Belle Epoque before the spectre of war and the fascist regime and the advent of Communism forced the family to take refuge in the United States.<br \/>\nFrom then on, on the other side of a symbolic wall and an original border barrier between Hungary and the Western World, the showcases are divided into two, following the fortunes of the Zwack family in exile on the right hand side and the life of the confiscated State-run company on the left. It was not until 1989, with the fall of the Berlin Wall and the return of democracy to Hungary, that the two were reunited once again.<br \/>\nAt our exhibit, you can enrich the experience with the aid of QR codes which enable you to view further film excerpts, data and family stories.<br \/>\nTravel the world with Unicum and capture the experience with our Selfie machine! Send the photos from here to your friends and social network!<br \/>\nThe overhead gallery houses over 17.000 miniature bottles, one of the largest collections in the world.<br \/>\nUpon prior registration, our guests can get an insight into the antique atmosphere of the old distillery, getting information about the liqueur making process and some exotic herbs and spices.
