The Cat Museum Budapest offers a truly distinctive experience where every cat lover can feel right at home. Our museum celebrates cats through creative displays, showcasing their artistic portrayals and cat-themed curiosities. The exhibition takes you on a journey through different eras and cultures, highlighting the integral role cats have played in human history and art. You’ll discover a wealth of intriguing facts and entertaining details, all while spending time among our friendly cats. In addition, we offer interactive experiences, such as weekend cat-painting workshops. Partnering with the Rex Animal Shelter, we support kitten adoption, and shelter kittens staying with us can be adopted directly on-site.
Your entry ticket includes a complimentary drink of your choice (a variety of teas, coffee, or hot chocolate) and a small cat-themed souvenir as a reward for completing our quiz!
You’ll also find plenty of cat toys, and free cat treats are available from our staff to help you engage with your new furry friends.

Important information: For the comfort of our cats and guests, the minimum age for entry is 8 years. Feeding the kittens with outside food is strictly prohibited. Additionally, loud behavior and running are not allowed; all visitors must adhere to the house rules.
